He’s affectionate, I can see him begging for hugs and kisses and pouting when you deny him your attention.
But at the same time, he isn’t exactly an affectionate brother to Gou. He cares about her a lot but prefers to show his love in a more subtle, low-key kind of way and we love that too. So he might not be touchy and all lovey dovey all the time but rather, he’d show his love for you in his actions.
B = Breath (What could their s/o do to take their breath away?)
Praises take his breath away. He’s always felt inferior to Haruka and knowing that you mean the words your say to him never fails to short-circuit him.
CHEERING HIM ON WHEN HE SWIMS!! He really likes it when you watch him swim, because all of a sudden he has this pressure to do his best to make you proud. Even though he might not hear your cheers while he’s swimming, knowing you’re there to support him really does it for him.
C = Cuddling (Do they cuddle? If they do, how and when do they cuddle?)
Maybe it’s because of the fact that he’s constantly shirtless (damn have you seen that body??), I see him as a pretty big guy (of course, it can also be that I’m very small). He isn’t one for spooning, I think, because he wants to hold and be held at the same time. Rin would prefer holding you, with your face in his chest and his nose deep in your hair.
D = Dream (What do they dream of doing with their s/o?)
He dreams of you being by his side for the rest of his life.
He’s a simple man, and he knows that his dream of being a professional athlete isn’t easy for both himself and those around him. But he really hopes that you’ll be by his side to achieve his dream and he wants to be by your side when you achieve your own dreams.
E = Effort (How much effort do they put into a relationship?)
Training to be a professional athlete takes a lot out of his schedule, so he tries to put in as much effort and spend as much time with you as he can. It means a lot to him that you’re by his side and he’ll make sure you are well-aware of it every second of your life.

He’ll hold you and gently rub your back and head to help you calm down. He’ll try his best to give you the confidence to conquer the fear but if it doesn’t work out, that’s okay too! He’ll stay by your side and be everything you need in the moment.

He brings teddy bears. Typical romance movie kind of stuff. He’ll bring jewellery or some things you’ve been mentioning that you want as well. But the above are only limited to special occasions only — Christmas, anniversaries, milestones, Valentines’ Day and birthdays.
He’ll bring you flowers and chocolates if he’s reminded of it on his way home for no reason except for his mood.
He thinks that you giving him a gift in return is wrong. He brings you gifts to show you his love, not for you to feel like you owe him something. If you bring him gifts, he’ll decline. He wants you to spend your hard-earned money on yourself. Dress up! Go for some drinks because you deserve it! Treat yourself to some expensive food because you earned it! He’ll only accept your gifts when it’s his birthday, Christmas or on your anniversary. And even then, spend too much money on it and he’ll still decline.

He’s a hugger. And he’s low-key embarrassed about it because hugs make him soft and he’ll just melt into your arms and want to stay there for life.
He likes to stick his nose into the skin where your neck meets you shoulder. And he loves lifting you up because it shows off his strength.
He’ll hug you whenever he can (not in public though because he doesn’t want people to see this big, buff dude melting into his s/o’s arms)

A very romantic boy we have here.
He’ll put trails of rose petals and more rose petals leading to your bedroom on special occasions and he’ll open up a bottle or two of nice champagne with you.
He doesn’t have much problems with intimacy, but he is very awkward about it at first.
J = Jealous (Do they get jealous? How do they act when jealous?)
He doesn’t get jealous easily, because he gets it and he trusts you so much.
But when he does, he will do anything he can to stop what’s going on. Threatening glares, words with hidden menace in them, etc. He’ll even start fights if it gets serious, so you need to calm him down and drag him away just like how he drags momotaro away from gou.

His lips are pretty chapped from swimming (chlorine can dry out your skin) but once you solve that problem, they’re soft and pink and the most kissable lips ever.
He loves the quick kisses you share before he’s off to practice or before you leave for work, it’s like a quick ‘see you later’ for him and he absolutely adores those quick little kisses.
Those kisses aside, he is a pretty intense kisser. He treats every non-peck kiss like a make-out session and his feelings overwhelm you through his kiss.
He’ll kiss you before bed and he’ll kiss you any damn time he wants. He doesn’t care if his coach sees and makes fun of him for it everyday of his life and he could care less if Gou was throwing up at the sight. He has no issue whatsoever with PDA because he is free-spirited and doesn’t care about what other people have to say about him.

He will very likely be the first person to say it. And it isn’t because you don’t realise your feelings early on. Once he figures out what he’s feeling is love, he’ll tell you because he can’t hold it in and he needs to know if the feelings are reciprocated just to calm his mind.
He says the words often because they’re usually accompanied by his favourite ‘see you later’ kisses. His actions speak volumes of his feelings but he’ll tell you that he loves you too! Sometimes, he isn’t sure whether or not the message is clear in his actions so he’ll say them just in case.

He wants to get married. But he’ll pretend he’s okay with marrying you or not.
He wants to see you walk down the aisle in a stunning dress and confirm your love for each other in front of your families and friends. But if you’re not down for marriage, he might be a little shocked but he’ll recover and he’ll stay with you regardless!
You’ll hold a wedding for close friends and family in a cute little chapel and of course, the party will have to be somewhere with a pool. As long as Makoto is there to keep Haruka from stripping in front of your guests, everything will be fine ;)
N = Night out (What type of dates do they like to go on? How often do they like to go on them?)
His favourite dates are late-night drives to get milkshakes. The two of you talking about nothing and laughing at inside-jokes on your way to the fast food restaurant and getting chicken nuggets too because you both get sidetracked easily are his favourite memories. These kind of dates are fun and it makes him feel free (get it?).
He also likes taking you out to nice restaurants for dinner every once in a while because you work so hard and you’re always there for him and he wants to show his gratitude through nice things.
Dates happen at least once a month. With the high intensity training regimen his coach has him on, he can’t always make time for dates and spending time with you. But he’ll always make the effort to at least free up a weekend or two when he can to go on dates.

He will not take you swimming. He’s training to be a pro and swimming with you might just make you feel insecure and he doesn’t want that! Also, swimming has always been a part of his world and he wants you to be the paradise-like escape from that world when it gets too much.
He’ll try his best to stop you from becoming best friends with Gou because he doesn’t need his sister’s horny muscle ogling tendencies to rub off on you. If you’re watching his practice, he wants you to be checking him out and not his teammates’ muscles.

He’s pretty easygoing and will play around with you. He’s the kind of boyfriend who would ask you to come taste something he made and smear the food in your face. He isn’t one for pranks unless its on Momotarou but he’ll definitely have his fun with you.

Sometimes he’ll forget to, but he’s working hard to improve this!
He tries to ask for your opinion before he does stuff because he might need some advice on what to do. He never fails to ask for your opinion about things that concern the both of you because your opinion matters and has a heavy influence in the final process of decision-making.
He shares his opinion on things he thinks you’ll be interested in, but otherwise he keeps to himself because he doesn’t want to bore you.

He’s a spontaneous person. He never planned to race Haru at the primary school but they almost did anyways.
Sometimes, he’ll spring a date suggestion out of the blue and the two of you just go for it because it isn’t often that you get to spend your time together like this. But because of his spontaneousness, you’ve both ended up in unideal, unforeseen situations.
Once, you decided to go get dinner at a sushi restaurant he read about in an article months ago but when you arrived the place had been closed for the past five weeks and you ended up in the convenience store drinking energy drinks and eating onigiri.

Even if you start the night off with your backs facing each other, you’ll always end up with your head on his chest while his body is spread wide. An arm is slung over you in a protective stance and your legs intertwined with each other.

He trusts you a lot. He won’t ask for the names and genders of the people you’re hanging out with and he won’t get jealous just because your ex and you are somehow working together again (unless you give him reason to be). He trusts in your relationship and he trusts in you.

Is being a professional athlete in training unique enough? Not only is his schedule really demanding, you might not always be able to have meals together because of the diet he’s been put on. He sometimes doesn’t like it when you watch his practices because it pressures him to do his absolute best and sometimes he’ll freak and slow his time. But other times, he loves seeing you cheer him on and he’ll do his very best to make you proud. His career choice puts a lot of pressure on him and those around so you have to be patient with him.

It takes him a while to be vulnerable around their s/o. He’s so used to putting up a tough facade and he’s only ever broken down in front of Haruka because of his feelings of inferiority, an experience he wouldn’t want to relive.
When he’s vulnerable, he’ll scream and cry until he can’t anymore and he’ll thrash around. He needs for you to be by his side and reassure him that he isn’t any worse than everybody else is and that his feelings are normal and accepted.

As much as he wants you to be seperate from his swimming, he’s been trying for weeks now to get you into a swimsuit. He wants to see you in one very badly and he’s ignored the judging looks from the store when he bought this cute swimsuit.
He thought it would be easy, but it wasn’t.
“Hey babe, let’s go to the pool together.“
“Honey, you already spend almost all your time at the pool already. Why would we go to the pool?“
“Let’s go to the beach this weekend, I heard they’ve opened up a nice restaurant there we should go check it out and relax for a bit.“
“Ah I’ve got this work event this weekend and I really can’t go :( you can bring Nitori with you! It’s been a while since you’ve last seen each other“
His attempts so far have been futile but he isn’t giving up.
Eventually, you give in and go to the beach with him the following weekend and he got his wish. But come to think of it, he’s pretty sure he’s seen Nitori in it. Ah yes, the cursed picture Gou photoshopped for fun and showed him. Rin now needs to wash his eyes and every time he’s reminded of you in a swimsuit, Nitori comes up in his mind.

He knows a thing or two about caretaking since he’s obtained injuries from fights and swimming before. If you’re injured, he’ll have you checked up at the hospital and make sure you follow the doctor’s orders, even if he needs to put on an embarrassing doctor costume complete with a realistic stethoscope around his neck.
If you’re sick, he’ll cater to your every need and he’ll go to the pharmacy to pick up your medication in your place. Prepared to be spoiled rotten until you fully recover. He won’t hold you while you’re sick, because he has a big competition coming up soon that he can’t risk missing, but he’ll hold your hand and sit by your side.

His biggest pet-peeve is if you pretend to be fine even if you’re not. He’s not around much to begin with and he would like for you to be honest about your feelings and wellbeing around him. He can see right through your act and he’ll be conflicted because he doesn’t know whether or not to be mad or worried. Mad that you are hiding your true feelings or worried that you are not okay.
Habits to bother his s/o, now this is a tricky one. I’d say that it’d be that he doesn’t know when to stop. He’s always striving to become better than those he feels inferior to and he’ll work endlessly hard to achieve his goal. He might lose it sometimes and won’t know when to stop and that can worry his s/o,

He’s a passionate boyfriend. He wants to sweep you off your feet and make you fall in love with him all over again every day. He wants passion because he gives you his passion, and he loves when you return it.
